Terms of use
The rules of the road for this handbook: who may use it, what it does — and, just as important, what it does not do. There is nothing to buy here, so this is not a sales contract; it is a plain statement of mutual expectations.
1. What this site is — and what it is not
Vietnam Entry Point ("the handbook", "the site") is an independent, non-commercial, self-funded publishing project run by a private individual (see Publisher details). It is a reference library of publicly available information about entering Vietnam. It is not a travel agency, not a visa intermediary, not a law firm and not a government body.
Nothing on this site is for sale. There are no paid services, no subscriptions, no user accounts, no orders and no payment processing. Consequently, nothing published here constitutes a public offer, an advertisement of services or an invitation to enter into a commercial agreement. Where government fees are mentioned, they are payable exclusively on official government portals and never to this project.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By opening any page of the site you accept these terms of use. If you do not accept them, please simply close the site. There is no account to create and no contract to sign — using the handbook is entirely optional and free.
3. Nature of the content
Articles, tables and the interactive widget summarise entry rules (visa waivers, e-visas, stay limits, border checkpoints) in plain language for educational purposes. They are not legal advice and not a substitute for official sources. Immigration regulations change frequently and may be interpreted differently by individual officers. Before travelling, verify every requirement on the official portal evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn or with the nearest Vietnamese embassy or consulate.
4. Permitted use
You are free to:
- read, print and share links to any page for personal, non-commercial use;
- quote short extracts with a clear link back to the source page;
- use the eligibility widget as a quick orientation tool.
You may not:
- republish substantial parts of the site as your own work or inside a paid product, database or course;
- scrape, mirror or bulk-download the content for commercial purposes;
- use automated tools in a way that overloads or disrupts the site;
- present the content as official government information or imply affiliation with this project;
- use the material to mislead travellers — for example, by guaranteeing them entry.
5. The "Am I visa-free?" widget
The widget computes its answer entirely inside your browser. Its output is an orientation based on the general rules described in the handbook — it is not a decision, a confirmation or a guarantee. Your selections are never transmitted to us or stored (see the Privacy policy).
6. Intellectual property
Original text, structure and design of the site are © 2026 Vietnam Entry Point. Names of official institutions, legal acts and government fees are matters of public record and belong to their respective owners; they are referenced for identification only. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners.
7. External links and advertising
Pages link to official domains (for example evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn) and to third-party resources for convenience. We do not control external websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices — following a link is your decision.
The site may display third-party advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are labelled and are the responsibility of the advertiser. An ad is not a recommendation, an endorsement or an offer from the publisher of this handbook.
8. Accuracy, availability and changes
Content is provided "as is". We aim for accuracy and update pages when rules change, but we do not guarantee that every page is complete, current or error-free at any given moment, nor that the site will be available without interruption. Corrections are welcome at the editorial contact listed in Publisher details.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from reliance on the content — including refused visas, denied entry, missed flights, fines or extra travel costs. Full detail sits on the Disclaimer page. Nothing in these terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised as the project evolves. The version published on this page is always the current one. Last updated: 2026.
11. Applicable law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the publisher's country of residence, without prejudice to mandatory protections that apply to you under your local law. Questions, corrections and complaints are accepted at the editorial contact listed in Publisher details; we aim to answer within a few working days.
