Visa-free corridors into Vietnam
Several groups of nationalities skip the application stage altogether. Entry is granted at the border on the strength of the passport alone — within the day limits below.
Passport baseline for everyone
Whatever the corridor, your passport must stay valid for at least 6 months after your arrival date and contain two blank pages for stamps.

- Basis: long-standing bilateral treaties
Phu Quoc island rule
Foreigners flying or sailing directly to Phu Quoc — including those transiting airside through another Vietnamese international airport — may stay on the island up to 30 days without any visa, as long as Phu Quoc remains their only destination.
Exceeded the waiver window?
Days outside the permitted period count as overstays and are fined at departure. If your plans grow longer, switch to the 90-day e-visa before travelling instead of overstaying.
