Disclaimer
Where this handbook's responsibility begins — and where it ends. Please read this page before acting on anything you find here.
1. General information only
Everything published on Vietnam Entry Point is for general information and education. It is not legal advice, not immigration advice and not a personal consultation. Requirements differ by nationality, passport, route and personal circumstances; only an authorised official — or a qualified professional who knows your case — can assess your situation.
2. No affiliation with the authorities
Vietnam Entry Point is a private, non-commercial publishing project. It has no connection with the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam Immigration Department, any embassy or consulate, or any other state body. Names of institutions and official portals are referenced for identification only. The only official channel for e-visa applications is evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn; applications are always lodged by travellers themselves.
3. Rules change — verify before you act
Visa waivers, e-visa validity, stay caps, checkpoint lists and government fees are amended frequently and sometimes at short notice. Summaries here reflect the situation as understood at the time of writing and may lag behind the current regulation. Always confirm the current requirements with an official source before booking, paying or travelling.
4. No guarantee of entry
Meeting the published criteria does not guarantee a visa approval or permission to enter. The final decision belongs to the immigration officer at the border or the consular officer at the mission. The interactive widget on the home page gives an orientation only — it is not a decision, a confirmation or a promise.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher of Vietnam Entry Point is not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this site or reliance on its content — including refused applications, denied boarding or entry, missed connections, fines, lost bookings or additional travel costs. You use the information at your own risk. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, or any liability that the law does not permit to be excluded.
6. External links
Pages link to government portals and other third-party resources. We do not control external websites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices. A link is a reference, not an endorsement. Check the destination's own terms before submitting personal data or payments there.
7. Advertising disclosure
To keep the handbook free, the site may display third-party advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are labelled ("Advertisement" / "Sponsored") and their content is the responsibility of the advertiser. Clicking an ad takes you to the advertiser's website, governed by that advertiser's own terms and privacy policy. The presence of an ad is not an endorsement, a recommendation or an offer from the publisher — and the publisher is not liable for advertiser claims, prices or availability.
8. Errors and corrections
We work to keep the material accurate and readable, but typos, omissions and outdated statements can occur. If you spot an error, please write to the editorial contact (see Publisher details) — corrections are genuinely welcome.
9. Contact
Questions about this disclaimer are accepted at the editorial contact listed in Publisher details.
